Ahhh what a couple of days. Got a cold, as it seems a lot of people also got. But the news are others.
From last week I become a member of Hex House, a art studio and community space in Brooklyn. So I’ll be around here playing around, working (rather than getting all day at home), and experimenting more with the radio, noise music / experimental sounds, and visuals, and objects!
Learning about electronics this week, from the basics on like Owm laws, volts is like pleasure in water, amps current of water flowing, electron, electric field, alternative/direct, Edison v Tesla, Ohms = resistance. Watts. Resistor. Capacitor. Energy over time. More power + more energy on a giving time. W/V=Amps. etc.
Being working on the radio, going live in more sporadic times and also creating with friends.
Also, start picking up some web design and brand consulting for independent, conscious small businesses, with no social media work. Café Kreyol is my first client (old client) that now I’m helping them moving out of Wordpress into a custom theme in Shopify with a redesign completely. So exited to be helping biz with a mission.
This week I’m working on a redesign, or actually a restructuring of the garden. The main thing is that I have some sections using Quartz/Obsidian under md docs which works pretty well, but also I’ve been developing some customs html/css sections like the radio or like the home and other small game/experiences that will be here.
I want a way to hold all in one place in a way that I can connect, see everything. So thinking in between:
- moving out of Quartz to be completely html/css and some framework like Astro to manage the content and rest of the site
- Still using Quartz, but in a way that the custom pages are inside notes… It may get too hacky and I’m worry about sustainability (mainly my own mental overload to keep track of things while I want a fast effective tooling)
- A good thing about Quartz is the easy/automated process with RSS and notes into pages that I don’t need to think, and the hyperlinks easy to implement.
- Maybe a mix? like something in between both, where Quartz can give me a framework and still developing some custom pages?
